ANASTASIA CONTOUR KIT

I would like to start another post with "Oh, how gorgeous is that?", but that would be quite repetetive and I believe you can see the beauty yourself. This spring is albout contouring, right. Contour, contour, contour, I hear everywhere, Youtube videos focused on contouring (Tati here, Pixiwoo here), Sephora's website dedicated to best contouring bits the market can offer. Choose yours!

My face is not perfect, bit round and bit big. Yet this does not make me a big fan of contouring. My contouring skills are very poor, bad lightning and unprofessional tools result in me looking like I was slapped, long time ago. Blending, blending, it's all about blending the edges away , they say. Ain't noboy got time for this. I am not Kim K, I am not furiously contouring every morning before leaving to work. But the odd days, that's a different story. Now and then there comes a day (or night) when I want to look my best, with beautifly sculpted cheekbones and thinner, oval face. 

I have been using the Sleek Conotur Kit. This used to do the job quite well, yet I was longing for something more professional. Like menioned above, this spring is like made for contouring, just choose your favorite. I am not really on the creamy side, so I definitely wabted something bit more powdery. Could not decide between Anastasia and Kevyn Aucoin (also amazing and beautiful conoturing palette). After considering all pros and cons, I opted for Anastasia as the colors seemed more versatile, multifunctional and the reviews were great. Also, Kevyn Aucoin is slightly more pricey.

BVLGARI JASMIN NOIR

In my pre-last post I talked about eye shadow palette In the night that is perfect for creating smokey eyes and drama look when going out on Friday night. After that I realised that somewhere hidden in my beauty storage I have one of my all-time favorite perfumes - one I used to use only when going out for a party: Jasmin Noir by Bvlgari. 

Smelling this perfume after quite long time, I realised how much of memories, feelings and sentiment is hidden in this scent. I used to use this one when clubbing while at UNI. Memories, ach. I can't wear it now. Lots of things have changed and I changed, I am not party girl anymore and I am done with studying, Yet I still keep this perfume, hidden, of course and occasionally smell to bring back those sleepless nights, tasty coctails, midnight kisses and random sleepovers. 

What attracted me once to this scent is probably was the sensual and mysterious tone. It's a woody perfume (I love woody fragrances!) with floral notes, but the main scent is, of course, jasmine. Jasmine makes the whole experience tantalizing, addictive and that's why I was so madly in love with this perfume. Now, when thinking about it, I might try to come back, just for the old good times. Maybe not. But still, it's a gorgeous fregrance, seductive, sophisticated and sensual. And sexy. 

L'OREAL VOLUME MILLION LASHES MASCARA

Have you seen the name of this mascara ? L'Oreal Million Lashes So Couture So Black mascara. Isn't it the longest name for a mascara you've ever seen? Okay, back to the review. This mascara is good. As you may guess from the name - it' s very very black and that's a good thing. I don't like mascaras with brown black colors, because most of the times I just feel my lashes are not enhanced that well. So in this case, definitely points for the color, deep dark jet black. 

I have been using this mascara almost every day now and I haven't experienced any clumps or flaking, so duration is also outstanding, considering that my makeup is on between 10 to 12 hours. So what effect can you reach with this mascara? Volume, definitely. Length, too. Doesn't curl the lashes that much, but we have tools for this, right? Bonus points go for not sticking lashes together - Oh I hate when it happens! 

The wand is not the wand I go usually for and when I saw it for the first time I just wasn't sure at all. But it's great, so it's so easy to paint even the tiniest little lashes. Also, there is no product build up on the wand, you just get a small amount of color, so you are not wasting anything. Duration of the mascara is also stunning, got this one at the same time as my Maybelline Falsies which is dry already and goes to the bin.

Overall, it's a fabulous mascara. You can get very natural look after one application or build up up to 3 times and get more dramatic look.  Worth the buy, because the quality of this product could compete with some premium mascaras. 

CLINIQUE DRAMATICALLY DIFFERENT MOISTURIZER

Dear redears, I am very proud to introduce you to my new favorite moisturizer. Its name is Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion +. What a name! This little sunshine was around for some time, but now, after months of pursuing a good moisturizer, I finally decided to get my hands on CDDML+, haha. I tried few moisturizers in last couple months, mostly unhappy about them or expecting way too much. Expecting almost nothing, I took little sample in Boots and was nicely suprised. My skin was very soft and mainly, moisturized. I decided to purchase and just try. Reviews good. Brand good. If nothing, 125ml for a price of any other moisturizer is just great. 

Let me tell you something about my skin first. My skin is very dry, very rough, but during a day (and especially when wearing a makeup) it can get quite greasy. Las few weeks I have been suffering from acne, big nasty spots and zits (and yes I cried quite a lot). Cliniques moisturizes is supposed to help skin that is bit dry, bit dehydrated or combination skin. I guess I am in. Now back to the product.

Okay, it's yellow. I know, not very usual. Also, without any fragrance or perfume, but smells bit medicinal (trust factor!). The consistency is but surprising - it' s very light weighting, thin, almost runny - you would not expect much of hydration from it. The truth is opposite, it gives me the best hydration. My skin feels so great! It really does and it stays soft and hydrated all day. Also, my makeup just applies so much easier and I feel like me foundation lasts longer. Another great benefit is the adorable pump that comes with it and the fact you don't have to dive your fingers in a pot. Clap clap clap.

I can' t praise this product enough. It just became my favorite moisturizer and I don't feel like I'll be changing any time soon. 

PS: I changes few things in my skincare routine and let's say this moisturizer might be a biggest change. So it probably contributed to most to one more change in my skin - all my spots are gone, And scars are healing very fast (with combination or BioOil and my new night cream). Worth a try.

NEW PHONE

I am so happy I have finally a new phone. And it's this beauty: Lenovo S850  in White. I could not decide whether to go for this one or new iPhone 6. They both look very similar, 5inch display, white color, great camera. I gave it few thoughts and at the end I chose Lenovo. The main reason was the fact that Lenovo is Dual phone, so I can have my irish SIM card and my czech SIM card in the phone at the same time (so far I have been carrying two phones, ufff). Also, new iPhone was more than 3times more expensive than this Lenovo. And what I heard about the duration of battery in iPhones made me think I should opt for this one.

And I am so so happy I did. It's perfect for browsing with superfast 4G, it has two high-res cameras (5MP front, 13MP rear) and all-glass exterior makes it all very luxurious and incredibly posh. God I am so scared I will drop it and break the beautiful thing, haha!

TRUE BLOOD

Few weeks before Christmas I mentioned that I got a little L'Oreal box that was a present with my purchase of L'Oreal Nude Rose Pallette in Boots. And I finally got a chance to try the red nail polish I found inside and I tell you what..... I instantly fell in love. 

L'Oreal Color Riche 408 Exquisite Scarlet is the most beautiful shade of red I have ever seen. That kind of red every gal should have. My boyfriend described this shade as very sexy, haha. What I found out it is very easy to wear and looks really beautiful with white shirt or white jumper. 

The packaging is also very pretty, the gold lid makes the whole experience bit more posh and elegant. One layer is bit thin, but two layers are perfect. Lasts around 5+ days with top coat. I had this shade on my nails last three weeks.... yeah, big big love !

THE PERFUME (MISS DIOR)

I always loved quite spicy and woody scents. Floral perfumes just were not for me, althought sometimes I quite liked some floral perfumes. I absolutely hated the fruity ones and the very sweet ones (even in the summer) and all the sporty scents.... were not for me at all. Always attracted by very feminine scents with accords of patchuli or santal wood, I had some very favorite perfumes I loved: Burberry Body or Bvlgari Jasmin Noir. 

Then I smelled this. I bet everyone knows Miss Dior, because of the most beautiful looking bottle with a little bow on the top. And I have to say that this scent is absolutely gorgeous. It is described as a scent for a young woman, who is feminine and elegant, but yet still very joyfull, enjoying her freedom and independence, looking for love.

Miss Dior a very pure scent, described as chypre-floral with blossoming rose as a heart, elegant pachouli as a base and top notes are fresh neroli. 

SUPERFACIALIST MASK (THE BEST)

You guys already know that I am a big lover of all hair and facial masks. Nothing makes me feel better than spending some precious time pampering either my hair or my skin. Recently I have suffered from some hormonal spots/acne. My skin was (and still kinda is) in a very bad condition, Every morning I woke up with 10 new spots, big red ones. I have never had any troubles with spots or acne before (so why now when I am 25?!). Even my Effaclar Duo was hopeless. That´s how I knew something bad was going on with my hormones. I have also troubles with my thyroid and have to take tablets to help my hormones to be okay. So I guess this horrible breakout was nothing I could do about it. Or prevent it. 

On the other hand, there are some products that actually help. One of them is this Superfacialist by Una Brennan Anti Blemish Pore Purifying Clay Mask. And I would like to definitely recommend it, because it helped me a lot. It makes really difference. How I use it: twice a week (sometimes even more often, I admit) I spread quite a thick layer all over my face and let it work for some time, usually an hour minimum. Then I take a damp face cloth and gently remove it all from my face. After this my face is superclear, really. No other mask ever made feel like "Yeah, now I know my skin is really clean". My skin is also glowing. Like super radiant and glowing like I just had a good workout. The spots that were already red and pink and big are smaller and less red. And when I touch my face, I can feel the difference too. So soft and silk, but very firm at the same time. What I really appreciate, though, is the effect it has on my spots. They are better afterwards. No, they don´t miraculously disappear (those who suffer from acne know it is an utopia), but they are just less aggressive, less red, less visible, less painful.  

I will definitely repurchase. Superfacilict is a good quality cosmetic, one of the best brands you can buy in drugstore I would say. Currently my number 1 facial mask, haven´t been using any other for few weeks. 

MOROCCANOIL RESTORATIVE MASK

If there is one hair mask you should definitely have, it is Moroccanoil Restorative Mask. All the myths were true, this is really something. Longing to try this mask for some time now, I felt like buying the (let´s admit it) bigger pricey pot in the times of moving apartments and cities would not be very economical; I opted for the travelling version. The 250ml pot is usually for something around £32,  this 75ml tube was for around £9 and lasted me 3-4 applications (depending on length of hair). 

I will not go into too many details as I know Moroccanoil has been around for some time and many of you know about this brand, the miraculous hair oil and about this magical treatment, But I still want to mention this mask as for me it´s a new thing and definitely worth the mentioning. And definitely worth the hype! The magic trick here is the protein that does most of the job. You can find protein naturally in your hair. When using colorants and styling tools like straighteners or wands, the hair gets damaged and it lacks the main thing: protein. So then this brilliant product full of proteins comes to help restore your poor hair. 

Smells absolutely incredible. I mean, the smell is so gorgeous you just want to leave this on your hair forever. The directions say to apply generous amount into your strands and leave for 7-10 minutes. This treatment for me is a real treat, so I leave at least for an hour to make the best of it. And followed by conditioner. The smell usually stays in my hair for a day or two more (yay!). You can see the change in your hair already when rinsing your hair. It feels smooth, strong and sleek. The quality is instantly better, hair is shinier and the split ends are gone. Brilliant mask.
